Hi, I have a o2 sim card, can I use it in a G3 phone (motorola A835) in any
circumstances?

It is currently saying - "contact operator" when I switch it on. Any ideas?

Pay attention! The handsets by 3 are sim locked... :-(

So there is no way at all I will get this working without its original sim?

yes... also you can buy another u-sim but only by 3...
