Anyone Having Trouble With Install <<<<<PHONE TOOLS 1.23c>>>>>

Phone Tools v1.23c Won't install on my computer. Maybe a setting
that needs to be turned on or off? Tried several times, but getting an
internal error after it almost gets done the progress install bar. (
DLL function call crashed: PbkInstall.-GetBookNames) I have tried
different downloads of this version so I'm sure it is not the
software. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry to say it worked first time for me - using bluetooth, had to link
them first.

Looks like the 2.16 upgrade page is up and running again on the bvrp
site - might be worth downloading and running that.

It wont install without a previous version of phone tools installed.

I've had the same problem, tried it on a win2K and a XP machine with no luck

at the moment though I now don't need it, I can transfer sounds, photo's and
games no problem just using my bluetooth places and that's all I wanted to
do

all you do is when you get that error, hit ctrl-alt-del and end task on the
setup without pushing OK.
then just go and install version 2.0
you dont actually have to have 1.23 installed all the way.

Try uninstalling your MS outlook 2003, install mobile phone tools the
re-install your outlook 2003

"When the Error message pops up, hit Ctrl-stop-del to bring up task manager
and End Task of the Application. That will prevent the setup routine from
uninstalling the app and removing the registry settings. Now install the
2,16 update, then start Mobile Phone Tools and follow the instructions to
install your phone. Once in the main program goto Setup and use the Live
update to get your version up to 2.19a."
