I have the same question. I do have phone tools...
Also, is there any real advantage/disadvantage to keeping the numbers on the
phone instead of the SIM or visa-versa? I have them all in my phone now,
and it is no biggie if i get a new phone 'cause i have phone tools (SIMs
advantage if you don't) and i can just throw them back in with a backup
restore.

I'm not sure of the motorola cell you have. But on my Nokia cellular. It
offers both the phone memory & the sim memory.
I know my brand is different but my brother has a motorola. And we find we
don't think our phone have certain things & they actually do they are just
located & worded differently. Yet still do the same things.
On my cell, To put the list from one memory area to the other. I go to my
contacts button or area on my cell. Then I scroll through the options area
until I come to the option called "copy". I hit select then the transfer
type I need to do. It then asks if I want to do 1 at a time or all at once.
Then it also asks, if I want to keep or move the oringal copy listing.
(this last
sentence, I'm still a bit confused on myself not sure why it would matter
I guess)
Just a suggestion on areas for you to maybe look on yours.
