After searching the web all night last night (Nextel, my carrier, only
has support during day hours), I was unable to use my i1000 phone, I
had put in a passcode to prevent "friends" from making calls without
my knowledge. Even though I still swear that I used the same number as
my ATM PIM, I could not access the phone.
This morning a 5 minute call to Nextel support resolved the problem.
Here's the procedure:
1) Turn the phone on.
2) At the Passcode? prompt enter "0000" (without the quotes, of
course)
#) Your phone will return to normal operation,
Don't believe all of the group posts out there the have you key in *42
, *43, or any other "reset code" before typing the "0000" in.
Hopefully this will save someone else the time and grief of being
without their phone.
PS: The script kiddies must swear on a stack of "Hacking CP/M for fun
and profit" books that they will not use this to gain access to their
Parents or older siblings phones.
Peace,
Jon

So suppose we trust your memory rather than the phone.

Those symptoms might correlate with the phone having forgotten the code.
