Yes, I flashed and flexed my 525 to the 600.  The firware listed on
that site is a little buggy.  People have been having some problems
with the camera, voice dialing and bluetooth.  Nothing major and
nothing that doesn't get fixed my turning the phone off and back on.
The advantages are video playback and faster menu.

I was able to eventually flash mine to another update that works fine
with no problems.  Unfortunately that firmware is not freely available
on the net.

any way you can share it with us?

I would if I could.  It's not my firmware.  You might try to contact
Adam at GSMPhonesource.com.  He did it for me. Don't know if he could
upload it or not.  Normally it's a service he charges for.

If you havent already found it, the firmware and generic flex is
available at
http://www.motclub.com/html/fw/v600.htm
I will be waiting for the next production firmware though and would
recommend you do to! :) It shouldnt be too long until its available as
the new v600's are carrying it already

Go to www.howardforums.com and check out the Motorola discussion.  It
has a sticky on flashing using the files from MotoClub.  Be warned
however that it is buggy.  I would wait.

Reading thru the thread you linked to it appears that you only need to use
the V600 flex to get improved functionality. The Motoclub firmware, which is
the buggy part, isn't required. All this is academic though, because I
wouldn't know how to do it even if I had the flex, and either nobody else
does or they're just not saying.

Or, you're not doing your own research.  It's all there... in sticky
threads, no less.  Can't get much more lazy.

You're obviously a tosser, but on this occasion you're half right. Such
occasions are probably rare so enjoy it while you can.

is where you need to look if you want the answer. And it's not a sticky
thread.
