Hey everyone,
I bought the new datakit from Motorola, and have my phone drivers
installed correctly along with the phone/USB cord. I've setup a
dialup connection to call out, and the phone actually dials out and
looks like it's connecting, but then I get an error saying there was
no dial tone in Windows. I'm using Cingular's service, and dialing a
dialup number for SBC.
Is there a way to make Windows not look for the dialtone? When I dial
out the number manually on my phone, I can tell I'm dialing out the
right number.
Any help would be appreciated, since I can't seem to find much at all
out there!

Depending on the version of windows you're running, there should be an
option to uncheck (Wait for dial tone) in your "Control panel>>Phone and
modems" (Win XP).
