A835 text message inbox

I'd be interested to hear from other A835 users about an annoying text
issue: in the inbox for texting (not the email inbox) the default setting is
for messages to be listed under 'sender'. That is how I like it.

I assume this works in the same way as on my old Nokia ie. if a person is in
my phone address book their name will be displayed if they send me a text.
The text will then be listed by sender's name in the inbox.

However, this doesn't seem to work on my A835 - I just get the first few
words of the text message listed in the inbox, even though when I read the
message it knows full well who it's from as it says at the bottom of the
message.

Today I returned the phone and got a new one (I was still under the 28 day
warranty). I've just set it up and asked a couple of people who are in my
address book to text me - the same thing happens! It just will not list text
messages by sender in the inbox.

Am I doing something wrong? Has anyone else had this problem? I find it
inconceivable that two phones in a row would have the same glitch.

I've treble checked and the inbox is definitely set to 'sender' and not
'subject'.

Thanks in advance.
