Am having exactly the same problem. Has anyone else experienced this?
Any success in finding a solution?

I'm getting the same thing... I'm on a dual boot winXP-ofc2003 (XP)
win2k-ofcXP (2k).
The (2k)system installs properly and adds the following registry
entries
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BVRP Software\Classic
PhoneTools\PhoneBook]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BVRP Software\Classic
PhoneTools\PhoneBook\Settings]
"ShowCommunications"=dword:00000001
"CanCall"=dword:00000001
"ShowGsm"=dword:00000001
"StartUpFilePath"="c:\...\outlook.pst"
-this should be the actual path to your outlook file I've
changed it for this post
"ShowEuroFile"=dword:00000001
"FolderAdministration"=dword:00000001
"ShowPreferences"=dword:00000001
"OutlookActivated"=dword:00000001
"OutlookExpressActivated"=dword:00000001
"PABActivated"=dword:00000001
To install on the (XP)system I had to crash out of the installer when
it errors -before it undoes its install (use task manager to end
task). Phone tools seems to work fine except that it has no outlook
support and none of the above registry entries.
I tried copying the registry entries from the (2k) to the (XP) but
Phone tools no longer starts - delete the entries and everything is
fine again. ie: it works but only with internal phonebook.
I hope that someone can use this info and go the next step in getting
outlook support.
Please post reply

I was able to stop the setup after the error, and then run the upgrade.
