Motorola v500 internal screen

My Motorola V500 internal screen is starting to get quite badly scratched
buy the no 5 key and the round navigation key, I wouldn't mind but I don't
keep the phone in my pocket all the time and its only a couple of months old
now.
Is anyone else noticing this or is it just my phone ?.
I did take the phone into my local orange shop who said they could sent the
phone away to have it replaced at my own cost as it is over 28 day old but
it would probably happen again....

Bummer. I think it must just be your handset. Mine's about the same
vintage and the screen isn't marked. I think it's a faulty build and
they should replace under warranty.
