When I turn on my V66 it makes an ascending chime sound, which is
irritating to people around me.  How can I turn that off, but still
have the phone ring on incoming calls?

Help very much appreciated!

I looked for a solution to this on my own and I cannot find it in my
manual or the web.

Regards,
CC

I'm not sure if it's the same as the T720i but on that you have to turn your
key pad tone down to zero & that gets rid of your start up & shut down tone.

Hope that helps.
