Timeport shows "Check card"

My timeport displays "check card". It has an O2 sim in it. If I I take the
sim out and put it into another phone it works OK. Any help would be
appreciated

Take a common pencil eraser and clean all your contacts in the SIM holder of
the phone. If thats  not the cure, then your phone has an issue.
