I have hooked up my v66 through the USB.  I'm running WinXP & it sees the
modem & tries to dial, but I get a message every time "The line is busy".  I
did install the usb drivers from Motorola, but can't seem to get it to work.

Any help?

Who is your cell provider. I can't fax using Cellular One. If there is a
provider out there who gives good coverage in Western United States and I
can fax through, I'd like to know.

I was just told by Cellular One "senior" tech that there was no cellular
provider in the US that any digital cell phone like my Motorola T720 could
fax through using a computer and any kind of data cable even if Motorola
implyed it could. It seems he should be quite wrong in this, but for sure,
my USB data cable, even though I can access the internet with with it, will
not allow me to send faxes with winfax. I'm pretty sure the cellular one
"senior" tech is wrong about not being able to fax through "all" digital
cellular providers, but he sure as hell ought to know about cellular one.

For the past 6 years I've been faxing with an analog motorola Microtac 650
using a dongle from my laptop's modem and from a motorola analog 3 watt bag
phone with a motorola 1394 RJ11 Adapter that allowed the use of any standard
RJ11 Telephone device through the motorola cell phone. You could do that
with -any- analog service. It would seem that some of us have been forced to
go backwards when we were forced into digital calling plans.
