I'm thinking of buying a timeport 270C good, bad, comments?
I have a S/T 7868W now which has been a good phone but I'm looking to
upgrade to something a little better.

Very good "do - everything" phone. Speaker phone was great, even in car.

Excellent telephone. But, its big, and that big will get old. I got one
because I just had to have bluetooth. `Well, i ended uo shelving it becuase
the Bluetooth is the first version, limited capability with some items and
was more trouble then its worth. Once again, good solid performer, just too
big. Going from the 7868W to a 270C really isnt an upgrade. Maybe sideways.
Of course, the browser on the 7868W, we wont go into that but did someone
say TOO SMALL?
Theres just too much else out there too be had cheap. I got my Mom an
Audiovox 9100 new in the box on ebay for $24. SWEET PHONE.Look around,
unlkess bluetooth is the answer for you. Then prepare to learn about which
270c is actually ready for Bluetooth (NO VERIZON's) Enjoy that bandwagon.
Then find a module that actually works with the latest firmware in it. LOL

Don't buy from these people. I don't want to start a flame war, but this
guy ripped me off. The phone, a Timeport 270c, would not charge. Cellpoint
offered to have it repaired by Motorola but then never returned the phone.
They don't return phone calls and stopped replying to emails. They allege
that they did return the phone but will not provide any shipping or
insurance information so that I could at least file a claim. They dragged it
on past the cut-off point for me to contest the charge, so I am out the
money for the phone.

Thank you for your response, but I called repeatedly and left messages.
I also emailed you a number of times and did not get a response. You stated
that you had returned the phone to me. I did not receive it. I asked in
several emails for you to provide the shipping and insurance information so
I could at least find out where it had gone or apply for insurance coverage.
You did not reply. I am not the only one who has filed poor customer
feedback for your company. If you would be kind enough to provide the
information to me via the contact information you should still have one
file, I would appreciate it and will be delighted to make note of my
satisfaction both here and on the Yahoo stores feedback page.
