V600 - SMS delivery confirmations

I am a new Motorola user, having used only Nokia previously. With the Nokias
I used to be able to get delivery confirmations of SMS's I sent. I can't
find this feature in the manual or any of the message menus. Is it available
on the V600?

It doesn't have that functionality built in, but most networks can provide a
delivery report if the message is prefixed with certain characters.

Which network are you on?

Thanks for the reply. I'm a Vodacom subscriber (South Africa). I'll try to
get in touch with them to find out.

Just before you send an sms, the last choice right at the bottom of the
screen is the question whether or not you want to receive a delivery report.
If you choose "Yes" a delivery report will be sent. This is a pain, because
Nokias can be set to send delivery reports by default!

I stand corrected, but I think MTN (in South Africa) actually charges its
customers for sending these delivery reports. So maybe this is a useful
feature for those who don't want to be charged!
