SIM vs Phone

I have a new Motorola V220 cell phone with a SIM card. When entering address
book data etc. I have the option of storing to SIM or to Phone.

What are the advantages/disadvantages of either? Which is the best storage
technique?

Phone has more options (additional numbers, details etc.) and quicker to
access. SIM is portable (can use it other phones).

SIM is really only useful if you'll be switching the SIM between phones.
Storing in the phone lets you associate a picture with a caller and keeps
the memory intact if you switch SIMs. You can always copy the phone data to
the SIM if you're going to switch phones.

I've noticed you can't use voice dial when a contact is stored to the sim.

My wife has noticed that if she stores numbers to both the phone and the
SIM, they show up as duplicates when she looks at her address book. Any
way to stop that. Seems like there ought to be a setting to view only
one location, but we can't find it.

If you have more than one cell then storing to SIM is a good idea as you
will have full access to the Address Book if U put the SIM in the other
phone.
