I have a brandnew Razr V3, at least I had one. During third time loading
the battery the third day I had my phone, it exploded and set fire to my
livingroom. This happened during the night. The alarm of my house woke
me and saved my life. The battery was an original Motorola battery. Is
there anyone experienced the same? Or is this unique?
What went wrong?

First time I've heard of that happening. Was it the battery or the charger (if you can tell)? Was the charger Motorola as well? I would definitely contact Motorola about this (maybe through your attorney)!

It was de battery. exploded into 1000 pieces. The phone was allright,
though the back of it was launched. Even the simcard is still
functioning. I contacted Motorola, they asked for the remaines of the
battery for investigation. All parts are Motorola.

Make sure your attourney gets pics and phone and battery first. They can examine it after it is introduced into evidence. If u give it to them now they will never tell the truth.

How is it that it happened during the 3rd time you loaded it but also at
night and you didn't know that it had happened?  Obviously it had to
have been AFTER you loaded the battery?

And yes, it is unique. Battery explosions aren't a feature anymore.

I'm used to charge the thing during night. I got the phone on friday,
the battery exploded on sunday night. I didn't even got a change to know
the thing. I don't know if the battery was charged or not. All I know
is, that the phone was connected to the charger when I left the living
to get some sleep. When I awoke from the explosion, the part were lying
all over my livingroom.
Yesterday I received a new cell phone (silver V3 this time, but I don't
mind). And you know what: I put the new battery in the black Razr and it
works.

And Brandon, battery explosion might not be a feature anymore, it
happened to me.
