just about every time I use it. Why does it lose my phone set-up, and
how can I prevent this from happening again? TIA.

If you are using USB, and your PC has more than one port, make sure you
always plug in to the same USB port.

What caused you to leave 3.28?

You might look around on the BVRP.com support forums.
I find that they are unstructured, and I wish they had answers posted for
the long and winding threads that have many different suggestions, but they
seem to be unmoderated, so all the chaff is there.

Try running Live Update manually.

That was interesting.
I upgraded to 3.28 a while ago.  I don't remember when.
Help-about said it was at 3.25b, so I did a manual LiveUpdate, which found
3.28.  I installed that, did a sync, and then did a LiveUpdate, which found
3.30.  I installed that, and on first launch, it did a version check, and
is now downloading 4.04.

The 3.30 to 4.04 upgrade is 52MB.  I didn't notice what the others were.
Maybe they have added an auto-LiveUpdate with 3.30

Manual LiveUpdate fails?

Cannot get live update to run at all. Tried uninstalling and
reinstalling. Tried installing the patches on BVRP's website to check
for live update and install it seperately. Still nothing. I left 3.28
because I couldn't get my phone to communicate with my laptop.

Send email to BVRP via the tech support email contact.
I received a reply within 24 hours when I asked about the upgrade to 4.04.
