Hello,

There is a "Software Update" section on Motorola's homepage. When I look at
the page for the country I live in, Austria, there has been a notice in the
"Software Update" section that this feature will come soon. However, when I
look at the site for Germany the "Software Update" feature is available.

1) What exactly does the "Software Update" do? What is updated?

2) Does it make a difference whether I use the "German update" although my
country of residence is not Germany?

3) I have the Motorola Phone Tools installed; is that enough for the
required driver?

4) How can I find out which version of the RAZR v3 I have?

I'm in Switzerland and noticed the software update
for my Razr V3 was suddenly available. I installed the
new firmware using their tools and I have no clue what
was updated, since they had no notes about anything.

Two things I have noticed:
1- the ring is louder
2- I can use it as a video camera now, not only pictures.
