I'd like to load a new ringtone onto my Motorola i455 from Boost Mobile.
My web searches on how to do this find much hype but no answers.
This can't be that difficult. I figured out how to load Java apps with
Motorola iDen JAL.
I find many websites with ringtones but they want my cellphone number,
which I'm not willing to give out.
What audio file format does the Motorola i455 support? I find
indications that it might support just about all audio file formats.
And what software can transfer it from my PC?
Thanks for your help.

You can add any song as tone as a ringtone as long as it is a
polyphonic ringtone. You can get these from a number of sources. Go to
your providers site and get some there, you won't have any trouble
with someone getting your cell number that way and I don't blame you
for not wanting to get tones from another source since they usually
wind up making you subscribe and it is a total pain to get
unsubscribed.
Hope this helps.
