Getting ready to buy a KRZR for Cingular.  I can't find out anything
on the chargers.  What is the usual charging time for the charger that
comes with the phone?  Is a fast charger available?  If so, what is
the part/model number?

I wasn't born in Texas but
I got back here as soon as I could
(Don't forget to take out the trash)

Consulting:
If you're not a part of the solution,there's
good money to be made in prolonging the problem.

The KRZR, like the RAZR, uses a mini USB (EMU) type charger, and like
other Motorola handsets, the included charger is a slow ("mid rate")
travel charger.

Charging time depends on the power output of the charger, where more
current (mA) takes less time.  With a standard capacity battery, figure
full charge in about two hours with a slow charger, about one hour with
a fast charger.

Motorola options (with power output if known):

* Wall "travel" (AC) charger (comes with the phone)
 + Motorola SPN5185/SPN5185A/SPN5185B/98604H: 550 mA (slow)
 + Motorola SPN5202/98605: 850 mA (fast)

* Car (12V) charger
 + Motorola SYN1630/SYN0847/98603H/VC700

* External rechargeable battery/charger
 + Motorola SPN5353/P790/98782H

* (5 pin) mini USB cable to computer (how I normally charge my RAZR)
 500 mA

Hope that helps!

Thanks John!  That's exactly what I wanted.  I am a little surprised
about the USB port charging.  One-half amp seems like a lot to take
out of one of those ports, but I really don't know the specifications.
