I just purchased a headset and read the instructions but cannot get
music to play through the headphones. I have mp3 files on the phone
and listen to them with earbuds all the time but zero sound with
the bluetooth unit.  I do hear tones from the phone when I touch
the pad but only tru the right channel.  I am lost and hope
someone here could please help, tia.

The V3r does not support bluetooth stereo with the A2DP profile. If you
want this to work, you will need a new phone. Check the (probably
incomplete) list at:

Could I add bluetooth to my notebook or desktop and use the S9
headphones to listen to music?

Yes. Just make sure the bluetooth stack sold together with your
bluetooth adapter supports A2DP ("Advanced Audio Distribution Profile",
sometimes called AADP or just "bluetooth stereo").
