I am looking for a standard AT&T phone to purchase and I'll be making
extensive use of appointment calendar and contact list features. I say
"standard phone" because I will not be getting any data plan and I know that
you must do that to get a good deal on a PDA phone. I've used a V3 in the
past and liked it although the size of the KRZR is more appealing but is the
screen too small? I've looked in the store and the KRZR screen seems higher
resolution and more readable even if it is smaller. Is this the case in
real life? Can anyone give me personal experiences or other suggestions?
Thanks in advance... Fred

The KRZR display is 176x220px just like the RAZR. But since it is
smaller, it has a lower dot pitch, so it may appear more crisp at first
glance.
If you want real improvement over the V3, then get a V8 or V9, those
have great displays with 240x320px.

Price is a major issue.

Then maybe a V3x, 320x240 as well and the software is more like an
updated version of the original Razr (where V8/V9 s/w is completely new).

I compared both and got the V3, I found the KRZR too slim for me to
handle easily. This may not be an issue with you but it's worth
looking at the KRZR and poking keys for awhile before deciding.

Thanks, I actually rhought the size might be an advantage. I guess you are
right, I need to try it.

I looked at both. I really really like my Krazr K1--the slimmer form
factor is great.
BUT... if you ever envision wanting laptop tethering to have wireless
broadband, the Krazr is NOT a 3g phone. V3xx is. Given that I
stumbled into needing wireless tethering 4 months after getting my
Krazr, I wish I'd gotten the v3xx.
