Names should not be a problem, but I think there's a rename option if
you press the soft menu key.

Use Live Update to the latest version.

You can with MPT.

You do need Bluetooth on the PC.
>Is this a Verizon Wireless phone?
AFAIK, the V551 is a GSM only phone, no CDMA2000 version.

Thanks, I'll try those suggestions.

So that means I need a dongle? I did download the Motorola Bluetooth
drivers when prompted. I'm using an IBM Thinkpad t23 with Win2000 Pro.
I don't know if that helps or not.

I don't know the difference between those. As for it being a Verizon,
are you asking if it was initially purchased through Verizon? If so, I
don't know but I can check.

You need a cable or Bluetooth or IR to transfer to PC. If you don't
have a cable, try IR. If that doesn't work, then you need Bluetooth on
the PC. Does the T23 have Bluetooth?

Probably Cingular or T-Mobile.

Your PC did not come with Bluetooth so you'll need a dongle. In selecting
one I STRONGLY advise you get one that comes with the Widcomm/Broadcom
"stack" or drivers. The one made by D-Link will do nicely. I recommend this
because the interface, called My Bluetooth Places is easy to use and very
reliable. You'll be transferring your pictures in minutes. Amazon has it for
$20 after rebate.

I don't know if it's a Verizon phone but I'll check.
I do have a USB cable and tried uploading using it.
I'm so confused!

Update MPT to the latest version. Then use Multimedia Studio -> File
Transfer Studio copy the pictures to the computer.

Okay. Thanks so much for all of your help.
