Can anybody tell me which version of the Mobile Phone Tools is compatible
with the V-188 Motorola phone? And where I can download it from?

All I need to do is access the phonebook and download wallpapers/ringtones.

I already use the USB driver for connecting the phone to my Windows XP PC,
as a modem and it works fine.

It's not free software. Buy on eBay or from ShopOEM.com
