Hi Larry. Thanks for the advice. I thought about a monster or Alltel
reflash. But I have the latest firmware (6/08 release) and this is why I'm
looking for just a way to fool my MPT 5 (MPT 4 was easy, but MPT 5 is not)
or perhaps a seem edit that will change my firmware's phone id string from a
"tv" to an "m." But I don't think there is anyone out there that has any
experience with the new Z6tv firmware (v1.31) as yet.

Hey, it's all hobbled up....This is VERIZON, you know!
I've been told by the hackers they remove whole sections of code from the
firmware and replace it with the Vcast and TV crapware to sell you
something. Alltel has had a big backlash about Celltop crapware in our
Alltel phones you can't get rid of, but they've been sold out to Verizon so
it won't matter what users care about any more....we're screwed.
Well, I finally got MPT 5.07 to show the complete menu listing, including
file transfers for the Z6tv.
I had to edit the "detect.inf" file to load the Z6m driver instead of the
the Z6tv. This appears to work, and I can read the directorys from the
phone, but I get an error when trying to transfer files to the phone.
Perhaps this is where the Seem editior would come in handy. I dunno...
I guess I still got some work to do...
