I just used mobile locator for the first time and have to ask if it is really as accurate as it indicates? The caller said they were not on the street listed on the map. Does anyone know the tolerance of the specifications. would it be plus or minus a few meters or more? Anyone care to comment on the usability? I have been testing it today and see that it has never given any indication of moving while my caller says she takes it all over town. The map I get does not appear to be very accurate but I have never been in Daytona. I have tried to compare to travel maps that are way more detailed. Nextel site indicates the signal is using an antenna vs. satellite so that may be why. I am trying to find out if anyone actually uses this feature. It takes a good amount of time to connect. J. I tried the MLS and was using an i205. This phone reporting was done by cell tower location and not GPS. It showed the phone in a general location, but far from GPS type accuracy. Some of the phones actually do use GPS and should be very accurate, but not the 205 on MLS -- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter for private users. It has removed 218 spam emails to date. It will be interesting to see how this works while she will be moving to the north a few hundred miles tomorrow. Maybe a i730 with GPS might be more accurate and better suited for my needs.
