Does anyone know if Nextel plans to come out with a smaller phone that the
i90?  Verizon has a V60 that it is going to use for it's PPT.  I hope Nextel
comes out with something similar.

They are coming out with an i730 that is supposed to be the i90 replacement.

Nothing special; no bluetooth and small color screen.

Has GPS and JAVA - knowing nextel, they will screw us on the price.....

I'll keep my i90c. It's a solid phone that takes a beating. The Motorola
phones made for Verzion are not as well built.

from the new model i just saw today from verizon, nextel is going to be
hurting a little here soon,v60p is as good as anything nextel has, plus
with verizon will have more coverage than with nextel. know of about 10
companys already going to switch. so nextel is going to have to do some
fast updating of their sevice or lose a lot more companys than what they
have planned on losing.

You know ten companies going to switch?? Bullshit!! Verizon's rates for PTT
don't compete with Nextel's rates.

Maybe Mitch works for Verizon?  The biggest problem Verizon will
encounter is the established base of Nextel PTT users - especially in
the blue-collar markets.  These guys all talk to each other, and you
won't see them switch to a flimsy Verizon phone just to get overpriced
PTT with a 3 second call setup time.  BTW, I sell BOTH Verizon and
Nextel.

Nextel will be very sorry starting tomorrow when the phones launches.
Even if there was a 3 second delay, people would still choose a better,
by far cellular service than something that connects quicker.  Nextel is
only good for ripping people off anyway!!!

Jason, you remind me of a dumped high school girl.  Does your bitter
little world have any other interest in there other than publishing
non-interesting Nextel hating messages?

Go to Verizion.  Run.  Fly like the wind and be happy.  You are boring
everyone.  Enjoy the new Verizon PTT and be happy with it.

rates are free unlimited group calling, unlimited one-to-one push to
talk, unlimited night and weekend minutes,1000 national mobile to mobile
minutes, and coverage area 100 times as large as nextel will ever
have.even in areas that nextel doesnt have simple cell service, that is
why there will be lots of changing,so they dont have to carry 2 phones
around all of the time, like they do know.

I hope Nextel will release a smaller phone. I have a v60 for Cingular,
personal mobile phone, and I really like the size.  It is small, compact,
but large enough to operate with ease.  The construction of the unit is
great! Also, the battery life seems to be much better then my i90.

I long for the day when the perfect phone, for me, is released.

1. Bluetooth
2. Color screen.
3. Iden & GSM support
4. PPT
5. GPS.
6. Smallin size
7. Long Battery life
8. etc.etc.etc.etc.

Wow... he must work for verizon... Or maybe not, because he knows that
the ptt will only work on Verizon owned, digital coverage, which alot
smaller than people realize, due to roaming. Verizon ptt is simply
put, a ip based speed dial. Who wants to wait 3 - 10 seconds. If they
want to put a speed dial button on the side of a phone and call it
ptt, any people stupid enough to leave Nextel for that reason, is
doing Nextel a favor.

IMHO.

I'm just glad it's out so hopefully some of these Nextel haters will
stop preaching how the VZ PTT is going to save the world.  I even hope
it does well so Nextel will lower their prices.
