From what I can gather, from the illiterates posting all this crap,
is that they're (depot, raptor, etc.) all hacks and cracks.

Still using my phone as a phone,

Depot and Super Depot are patches for Carrier RSS. Depot lets you
change settings in the phone like MMS, MO-SMS, Palettes, unlocking,
CID color change (830/836 ONLY), and enabling Speakerphone and other
options that are not on the phone when sold, or sold as a option. (ie.
the i205 doesn't come with speakerphone enabled, you have to pay $10
to get it... Depot lets you enable it yourself.)

Lab is not available as a patch. You have to have the original
program. AFAIK, the only major difference between Lab and Depot is Lab
lets you change SN, ESN, and IMEI on the phone.

Raptor (or Raptor Pro) is a program that lets you unlock ROM-9 Boost
Phones that are double locked (where normal subsidy unlocking does not
unlock the phone.) This software is only good on the ROM-9 phones, and
will not work on phones built after June 2005, or if they have been
flashed with the newer software. Raptor REQUIRES the use of a serial
cable.

The benefits of having Depot is you can make your own phone
modifications, like listed above. You could also do mods for your
friends & family.

The benefits of have Raptor means you can unlock boost (or other
carriers that use a double lock) phones for use on other carriers.
(ie. you can use a Boost i830 Roxy on Nextel). THIS (or any) PROGRAM
DOES NOT GIVE YOU FREE AIRTIME ON BOOST!!! I have seen a few posts in
the forums saying Raptor or Depot can give you free airtime.. That's
horseshit.......

I hope you have enjoyed this breif article on the various programs.
Keep in mind all of these programs (except maybe for Raptor) are
ILLEGAL!! (Motorola says it is illegal to use a patcher with their
software to enable options that are not normally available. For that
matter, Super Agent, Agent, and Carrier are also TECHNICALLY
illegal... As they are for use by agents and carriers.. hence the
names..)
