I have a java enabled i710 and whenever somebody calls it just says
"take call from line 1?)  On other phones my company issues it either
says the number, or the person depending if the number is programmed
into the phone.  How can I set this phone to do exactly that?

You probably do not have caller id.  Call 800-639-6111 and they can check it
for you.  If it is not part of your plan, it will cost $1 per month, and
will have to be added by the authorized point of contact for your company.

Everyone else has it, and we're all on the same plan.
Could something be screwy with the SIM chip?  I lost all my text
messaging contacts a few weeks ago, I got a error saying "insert SIM",
and it said I couldn't text message.  After cycling the power a few
times my text messaging was back.

Anything is possible, but the most likely problem is a provisioning
error on your account.  The first thing to do is contact the carrier.

The following was seen at a car dealership,
announcing new seat belt legislation:

"Belt your family. It's the law."

Okey doke.  I'll take care of it.  Thanks!

Your best bet is to call Nextel Care.  They can check your price plan and
provisioning.  Better info than you can get on the boards...

it is not the sim, it is either that you do not have caller id on you
plan or the person is calling from a blocked or unknow numbe
