I havea an i860 ordered it the day they came out. about 2 months ago my
antenna just popped out, it snappedinside, for 15 bucks I got a new one
installed and last week it happened again. I went to a different place and
they told me my "rear housing" was cracked, and it was 55 dollars to replace
it, plus a new antenne. I decided to go to anotehr place, but they were
closed, so I went back anda  differnet person was working (the other girl
went to lunch) she said she could put the antenna in but the housing is
going to need to be replaced soon. now when they say rear housing, is that
different than if I bought a new housing on ebay? (something thats a little
different than the normal, say a Red sox housing or something) or is the
rear housing different? has anyone had this problem with the antenna on the
i860? thanks

Get ESRP (Equipment Service and Repair Program on your account. and
take your phone into a service center. you may have to pay for a repair
before they will add it on now since you missed the December 31st grace
period.  Your antenna base is cracked, that's why you need a new reaer
housing. That is what they call the back part of your phone. Hope this
helps.

haha definetly.. now do I just call nextel and add this to my phone? how
long ebfore I can make a claim with it? (like I got the antenna on right
now, but say it breaks in a week, will it be covered, is there a waiting
period before you can use the service?)

Go into a Nextel authorized repair center put the insurance on right
there and then they fix it. Ive read you can have things fixed up to 3
times a month with out any hassle.
