I have just upgraded from the 730 to the 850. No
problems so far, but the 850 does not have a
calculator. The one on the 730 was fine. I have a
USB cable to connect the phone to my computer,
thinking I could download from the 730 to the
computer, then upload to the 850. My computer
doesn't seem to be "seeing" the phone plugged in
via USB, even though it makes the "bong" sound
like it recognizes something new is there. Am I
missing a program or some other step?

Thanks.

Hey man look online for labjal or webjal with those two you can
transfer ringtones and such.
Now for contacts and such you will need something like motorola PST
and back up your stuff ,at least that is how i did it .
But thinking about it your contacts are on the sim card right? what
else you need to move?
If im wrong please somebody corect me...
I did a search in google some time ago and i got them programs for
free so dont be scam into buying them from other websites that did the
same thing got them for free and now are selling them, PST is
a company software(meaning they are the only ones that should have
the software only retailers and nextel stores are suposed to have it)
and if you screw up your phone dont tell them you used it because
your phone will become a expensive paperwheight.
Hope this help and if you dont have luck finding them let me know i
might post them for you ,but do me a favor and at least spend some
time looking for the programs i spend a day looking for them so at
least have the curtesy of looking before you ask me to post.
