Does Nextel have a site or a meanigful way to report dead zones/spots? If
so, where? My son is currently in Old Bridge, NJ (zip code 08857) and he is
limited to parftial and/or no service yet Nextel's site shows coverage in
the area.

If it makes a differnce, we have a government type account.

Thanks, Scott

Awesome, thanks! We have family there (Old Bridge, NJ) and this will be very
helpful.

Any ETA as to when the sites will be active?

That's GREAT! With so much family there we travel to Old Bridge fairly
often.

Anyone travel from Southern California to Laughlin, NV via I-40? How is the
coverage along the way?

Currently, coverage in the Old Bridge, Manalapan, Morganville,
Marlboro, Colts Neck, Holmdel, etc surround areas is horrible with
Nextel, although the website shows the area covered like a blanket.
That's a joke.  They need to really get on top of this. I know someone
who has a business in Morganville and would love to switch to Nextel,
but they can't due to the coverage problems.  I am talking about 30+
phones.  This account in itself would cover the cost of one full base
station being deployed.

I know this because I live and grew up in the area and know people
that have Nextel and are very unhappy.  Sprint was like this in the
area, but vast improvements were made over the past few years.  I
suspect Nextel will have to do the same.  Naturally, Verizon has the
best coverage here as they do everywhere else in the Northeast (pretty
much)

Oh come on Nextel have a dead spot, never

The only one I know of is between LA California and Maine..lol

Get a real cell service

I drive truck for a living and found out the hard way they have NO service
at all in ND or SD not one city!!  among a hell of a lot holes in service as
large if not larger than the size of the state of Texas.

Who's holding the gun to your head?  There are other carriers.  If your
service sucks, stop whining and switch to another one.

Keep this in mind, Nextel is a business to business provider.  What
businesses are there in ND and SD?  Before you list some little company with
20 or 30 employees, know that it costs about $200,000 to put up a tower.
That means that there needs to be at least 5000 - 10,000 customers in that
area to make any money.  I know, big shocker, a company in business to make
money?????????

If the state has more deer than people, there will be very few cell towers.
Why do you think that there is only 1 cell carrier that covers the UP?
