I95 Web Browser Interface ??

Hey People ,

I was looking at a Friends Sprint Phone the Other Day and
Admiring The Built in Web Browser , He Brought up Pages that Was like
looking at a Computer Screen , All The Graphics , Links Etc..... It
was Great , Like a Mini Computer . Why is Nextel So Far Behind Still
Useing Text Base Web Browsing ? . I called Nextels Web Services and a
Rep Told me All i had to Do was Upgrade My Software on my I95 and My
Browser would be a graphical interface like the sprint . Well i tried
to upgrade the software and followed all the instructions but it just
doesnt seem to work any way i try , It shows that i purchased for free
the latest upgrade software But when i get to the last part where it
shows me the newly purchased software to send to the phone , nothings
listed Sheeesh ,Did This 3 Times While hooked to the Cable. What a
nightmare working with Nextels Web Sight . Today i Talked to an
Authorized dealer who said it wouldn't have mattered anyway , the Web
Services guy doesn't know what hes talking about , The nextel phones
cant go beyond the Text Interface . Does anyone know of anyway to
update the Browser To a graphical interface ? , can it be done ? And
Why the Hell is Nextels Own People so Stupid giving such mis-informed
Information . Very Discouraging Paying Over 70 Bucks a month , Tied in
for a 2 year Contract for a Phone that is Completely blown away by
this Crappy little Sprint Phone , At least in the Web Browser Dept. ,

I have the I95 too I just got it so I would like to know too. I do not have
the web on it. My dealer said something if I get the web I do have to do
some downloads but I did not ask about if it was still text.

What you need to do is get packet streem gold for like $55 a month and you
can download a HTTP Web Browser program to the phone and it'll run out of
the java apps. I believe the websites will look the same as they do on a
computer. You also connect at like 56k if you have a laptop or something you
want to use. It's a fast internet connection wirelessly.

If $55 is too much they have like a $10 and a $20 plan with a limited amount
of bandwith. Look it up at the nextel website.

you can find free ones on the internet, its a basic java app. You can also
get them off idenupdate but i don't know if they are free.

Well Finally Found what we need for Anyone Who Wants It , Go To

And Grab Web Viewer , Everythings Explained in the Description , Not
Bad For 20 Bucks but you do need a Total Connect Package as well , It
Works Great , Brings Up Pages Just Like on Your Pc and I Can get
Attachments sent to me on my Yahoo Mail Account . Unreal Though , This
is right on Nextels Sight and There Own People in Wireless Services

I Find it Funny He Sais Some Pictures Work Good LOL , NO Pictures Work
on Web Sights with this Text Based Nextel Phone , The Guy Has No idea
what he's talking about . I guess we're Outa Luck , If these Phones
We're Capable of Graphics it would be Big News , My Dealer Knows what
he's Talking About and i saw him Today . He Said Nextel specializes in
the Radio so They Give no Attention to Web Interface , Oh Well , Maybe
Next Model will change Things....Save Your Money LOL , Pete
