I recently been getting a charger not compatible message with my car
charger for the I90. I have had the aftermarket charger for about 6
months and never got this signal before. I noticed it because I had
the phone on and pluged it in and it shut the phone off to charge. I
had to unplug it to turn it back on and when I did and pluged it back
it, I saw the message and the phone shut off, again. I was talking
with a realtive and he was saying he got the same message with his
phone. I switched back to an OEM car charger and everything works
fine. Anyone know why this would be happening?

I got the same message on charger I bought from the Nextel booth at the
mall. The only difference I could see was that my wife mangled the tip a
bit on the one in question.

I have gotten this message and a closer look revealed the charger for the
i60 was a higher DC voltage output than the one that came with he i95cl . I
used the chargers interchangeably [is that a word] for a year and just got
that same message last week so now I will use the model specific charger...

You will get that message also if the electrical contacts on the phone and
on the charger plug are not squeaky clean.
