Has Nextel changed the way two-way messaging works on the Falcon models?

The AT&T v60 that I have at work is nice since messages are delivered to
the phone without having to log into a server like you do with the
i60/i90/i95 phones. You also don't have to log into anything to send
messages either, just select SMS and you're instatly at the send screen.

Hopefully they've changed the way two-way messaging is implemented in
the new phones.  It would be a definite reason to upgrade.
