anyone ever have a problem with the call forwarding settings for
voicemail getting reset to something else on any of the flip phones? I
recently had this problem and nextel informed me that this is a known
issue and were surprised that I hadn't experienced it until recently.
Anyone else think that sounds a tad off, if the issue is known, why
wasn't I informed of it & informed of what fixes were available if any
or some other options to counter the problem (replacement phone or some
form of help).

usually if you want your voicemail to work you program call fowarding to
call your area code then the first 3 digits of your phone# and then 6245
which spells the word MAIL.

You don't get charged call forwarding fees for this # it usually fixes all
voicemail fowarding problems.

Can you be a bit more specific as to what you're talking about?  I have been
with Nextel for 3 years and I've never experienced my call forwarding
settings changing themselves without my knowledge.

do.
