I don't know about the i325, but the i315 is for sale through
SouthernLinc, although I'm not sure of the capability with the Nextel
network. Not sure why Nextel isn't selling them yet.

The 315 is NOT the 305 that nextel sells. I work at a nextel retail
store. The 315 is basically the same phone as the 305, but it has an
off network walkie talkie, that works when you have no signal. The
range is up to 4.5 miles. The 325 is the same phone as that with a
color screen. The 315 and 325 are being released by nextel on 9/7.
The only drawback to the off network walkie talkie, is EVERYONE must
have a 315 or 325 to use the off network, but its still a neat little
addition to the nextel lineup. If any one has any questions, i'll
answer what i can.

Will you have to purchase a FCC license for the off network 2-way or will it
be included in a Nextel plan?

I believe the FCC requires a license for any 2-way radios over a certain
power, and from reading the info that came w/my two sets of 2-way radios,
anything powerful enough to transmit over 2 miles requires a license. i.e.
my radios are 5-mile so for the channels that broadcast this distance, I'm
supposed to have a license, but on the "weaker" channels it is not required.

Today we stopped by a Nextel owned store. The i315 and i325 is like
CB with 24 channels. Both have the body of an i305, but the i315 has
retractable antenna. The i325 has a long fixed antenna.
The i315 has been shipped but the i325 requires a special order.
Neither of them has a leather pouch yet.:
