Difference between Save Text Message and Templates

I have a nokia 6230. I don't know what's the difference between these
2 options. Seem very similar.

Anyone could enlighten me ?

Only in the way you use them. One is for unique texts you send or receive
and want to keep. One is for, as the name suggest, templates which (modified
or not) you wish to send repeatedly. It would be kinda confusing if the two
were mixed up in one folder.
