I am obsessed with compressing a tv series (MXC) for viewing on my 6230. I'm
shrinking them to 128x96. The first two seasons that I got were in MPEG
format and each episode converted in about 15 minutes. The 3rd season is in
DIVX 5.0. Few of these files will convert. Most will just hang during the
process. I leave it running for hours with no progress or completion.
I'm using Nokia's PC suite 6.6. I have gotten other 3gp converter programs
but the free ones don't have the 128x96size and the trial software doesn't
seem to have that mode either (I'm not paying for software until I'm sure
it'll do what I want).
Can anyone advise me with this?
Thank you.

How do you manage to watch full length programs on the 6230
with no FF/REW/restart where you left off if you get
interrupted and if someone calls you, your viewing is
aborted and you have to start from the beginning?  I couldn't
find a way around that so replaced the phone with a 6620.

I tough it out and start again. My carrier, Dobson, doesn't have a fully
video enabled phone on their approved list so I just have to deal with it
for the time being.

ok, just didn't know if i missed something.  i was taking a bus
to and from work an hour in each direction and downloading
episodes of stargate sg-1.  after having to restart from the beginning
after watching 30 minutes ... i could only deal with it for so long :).
i dont know who dobson is, but you could just buy an unlocked
6620 online and swap your SIM from your 6230 in and you'll
be off and running.

Thanks. However I'm going to hold off on changing anything unless I can find
a way of compressing these episodes.
If I can't get them to 3gp, it won't matter what phone I have.

Fair enough, I really only have the limited 3gp experience from when
I briefly owned the phone.  I just use xvid files now.  Some info
that might be worth following up on here... sorry I can't be of more
help:
