6230i- ringtone does not work

hi,

i have a nokia 6230i, and sometimes when some rings me , the rington does
not sound at all. so i end up gettin 1-2 miss calls.

i've got the ringtone as an mp3 file, which is on the memory card. coudl
that be a reason its not sounding?

Dev,

Try moving the tone to the PHONE memory, and see how it goes.

I had a similar problem.

That is to say..

I had a similar problem, moved the tone to the phone and it then worked
okay.

Having said that, I ONLY had the problem when I used a 256Mb MMC card. Prior
to the 256Mb, no problem.

I heard it was to do with the access to the card, that slowed things.
