I want to connect my E61 with the Dell Laptop through the supplied USB
cable.
The laptop does see the E61, but the Nokia Suite not.
What could be the problem?

Somewhere is sayd that the PC must have Windows service pack 2.

On my E61: When the Nokia USB cable is connected to the PC (where the
software has been previousaly installed ), then, as soon as i connect
the other end of cable to the E61 then the phone asks me what i intend
to do and accordingly i have to choose between

PC suite
Transfere of data
or Passerelle

(in french).

Call maybe nokia club.

An observation for french users:

Although my Nokia E61 is a french version (it's an AZERTY, WITH french
accents etc), it is NOT possible to write in french with the Bluetooth
keyboard SU-8W.
The SU-8W  keyboard is advertised on official FRENCH Nokia web-pages as
THE (sole) Nokia keyboard but omitting to say that it is not compatible
(jet ?) with french.

The SU-8W is a physical QWERTZ AND QWERTY, but you choose the
preference-settings in the supplied driver-soft. Will there one day be
an upgrade, with stickers of accents for some keys (or will they make an
AZERTY ?).
Meanwile, in the settings, you have to choose amongst english, finish,
swedish, german, norwegian, danish and russian - but no french is
available today, july 2006.

But even if you do choose english, it seems impossible to type a
question mark, although the Key exists (green row), despite indications
for key combinations.

Also, the special AltGR key is supposed to make pop-up a list of
additional special characters - as soon as you release this key. I've
never been able to make this list appear (it makes a "u" instead).

I consider bring this (expensive) keyboard back to the Nokia store. But
i find it very difficult to find comprehensive data to make a choice
amongst other Bluetooth keyboards of other brands. Also, it will have to
be compatible with "Symbian Series 60".

The Nokia SU-8W has the phone's navigation keys replicated on the
keyboard - these handy features will of course not be found on other
brand's keyboards..

(I don’t know if specifically english versions of the E61 phone have
maybe perfect pairing with the/a Nokia Bluetooth Keyboard...)
