remove n70 welcome screen?

i hate the handshake and boot tune, can it be removed? i'd prefer none at
all if it will speed up the boot time

Yes. It's in one of the menus somewhere. Try RTFM.

You can turn off the tune, but no way to remove animation totally in the
menus.
My suggestion - get used to it.
