Says, Restricted phone

Hi All,

Recentyly I received a nokia 7600 mobile phone from my brother from UK.

I live in India.

If I start that mobile, it says "Restricted Phone" and also asks for
restriction code.

How to resolve this problem. Do I need to reload the firmware or
software again.

In that case how do I do that. What all necessary things I require to
do that.

Can anyone please assist me on this matter.

It's locked to "a network" in the UK and your brother needs to get the
unlocking code from them, assuming he was the original purchaser. If he
hasn't kept a copy, he'll need the IMEI from the handset, found on the
'phone's body inside the battery compartment.
