Nokia contacts Sort Order - where's my wife gone?!?!?

I just got a 5500 and very pleased I am with it.

However it ignores spaces, punctuation and symbols when sorting the
contacts. This is very frustrating as on my 6230i, my wife would be
sorted to the bottom of the list (and hence reached with one press of
the "up" key) by putting a dot in front of her name, now she is in the
middle of the list (initials M K) whatever sort order I choose or
whatever punctuation I try.

I can only make her appear at the top of the list now by calling her
aaMichelle. Fine if I'm singing a Beatles song but really annoying as I
sync with my Desktop Outlook so e-mails use the same Display name, and
she does not like it. zzMichelle is equally unacceptable.

Tips? Tricks?

Oh yeah,  Me too my nokia 6230i  has problem a contact by "Dumb"
synchronisation by PC Suite gave third times a download into my mobile.  BUT
Mobile didn't send upload to PC Suite.  BLOODY HELL.

I wait for their answer.  If they (newsgroup) or Support email have not
answer us or you.

If no answer before the end of year,  I will write the letter to NOKIA Chief
of Executive for complained a mobile and PC Suite are problem. plus Email
Support never answer us more than 6 months.

First I'd check that the synchorisation is set to both directions -
settings > general > advanced >direction in PC suite

If that is already set to syncrchronise in both directions then sorry
I'm not sure - I've never tried synching a 5500.

With regard to the multiple contacts thing, I've had that several
times, never found the root cause. The only way I've found to deal with
it is to make 100% sure ALL my contacts are stored in outlook, then
clear all contact information on the phone, then re-sychronise.

Finally,  I found out the between PC Suite and Nokia 6230i has resolved.

First, I backup whole the data from mobile to saved on PC Suite disk.

Go Browse the Contact list (PC only) give all delete list went gone and PC
Suite ask "Update to Mobile" ? say  NO (Because it's risk cause your mobile
contact list will be disappear).  So, PC Suite put "Restore from last
Backup" until done.   Go open the Contact browse and get update  will pop
context select "Get data from Mobile"  then processing.  Everything back
normal on contact list are working.  I tested Synchronise between Mobile and
PC both working send and recieve update.   It's successful.

I don't know why the mobile has problem since crazy ghost or virus attack

Thanks, but Michael had a problem with synching a 6230i.
My problem is not with synching, just with the sort order on the phone.
Any ideas how to get frequently used contacts to the top of the list?
