A friend told me his new Nokia N-95 was capable of making movie films up to
one hour.
1 - is that really so?
2 - what format will that movie be in?
3 - is that a format that can be copied down to a PC, and sent to others?
4 - can such a film be burned to a DVD?

What about battery capacity?  Will movie making tend to empty the battery
much quicker than would a normal conversation?

Oh! Yes! I reckon on be able to record for about half an hour before
the camera stops working because the battery is too low. You might
then have enough power left for a couple of short telephone calls.

It would seem feasible to solve the power problem one of two ways.

First, a second / spare fully charged battery or second use the AC adapter.
