What is your experience on other models regarding SW updates at home? If it
downloads slow, it is probably more of your internet connection speed.
Anyway, if it appears dead, you might consider a hard reset (search for
instructions if you don't know yet how to do it).
This can always happen but if it was frequent, Nokia would for sure withdraw
the updater SW or phone update package. Take it to a service point if you
can't make it wake up.

He said it was being used on the charger. The battery not being fully
charged wouldn't cause the problem.

My download apeed is between 4Mb and 7.5Mb so its not my ISP
As to how to perform a a hard reset that information is not in the
handbook, anyway its going back for repair.
