Tell me. Is this site a con? I'm tempted to send in ?20 just through
curiousity. Some great Nokia phone in there.

Anyone had any dealing with this company?

Brian.

As do many other people, so someone makes lots of money and it shuts down
before 99.9 per cent of people get a phone.

It sounds like a really good idea....but its not. Unless you're in the first
few names in the list then all that will happen is that you'll help someone
else get their phone.

Most phones take around 19 or so people to send ?20. That's ?380. Most of
these phones are way cheaper than that sim free and the sellers of those
make good money.

Say you're 5th in the list. For you to receive your phone it would take 95
people (19 ?20 donations for each phone x 5). That doesn't sound too bad.
But...just think about the people who are 76th onwards. These people are
thinking about the same thing. How many people will it take before "I'll get
my phone?". If I'm 76th in the list (the last place before people start
contributing towards YOUR phone and you're only 5th!) then a total of 1444
(19 x 76) people must send in ?20 before I get mine. That's one BIG list
full of people who are unlikely to ever get a phone.

Forgot to mention the fact that you've got no come back if you don't get a
phone as you're not buying a phone, only a cd which they'll send you for
your ?20.

I signed up for www.thephonematrix.com about two months ago (before I
discovered this great resource) and haven't received anything and  by the
looks of things I wont. Do the maths and you see how much money can be made
by the owner. Another site, I'm looking at is www.winmeamobile.com It is
quite new and I am not signing up for it. However, I do find it refreshing
to note they don't promise you a phone (unless you play obsesively)
