NOKIA6161 CAN RECEIVE BUT NOT SEND TEXT MESSGAGES

I've got a Nokia 6161. My Cingular service allows me to send & receive text
messages, but the 6161 only allows receiving, NOT sending of text messages.
Anyone know if it's possible to upgrade the firmware? Or anyone know of a
solution? Thanks...

Nokia will tell you that is not possible, but if you can find a sympathetic
service shop with the proper service software the feature can be activated.
This is not something you can turn on from the keypad.
