But will T Mobile support 3g on their 2g Sims??
I wouldn't have thought it likely

Yes at the moment your T-Mobile 2G sim in a 3G phone will enable you to use
the T-Mobile 3G service. T-Mobile went live in Feburary and as yet have not
restricted their 3G service. Whenever or not this will change in future, who
knows!!

How do you access the T-Mobile 3G service using a 2G SIM?

Your T-Mobile 2G sim will currently work in any 3G phone.......so you just
need a 3G phone. However, their are lfew advantages in doing so.

Virgin already do (voice only of course), so I see no reason why
T-Mobile wouldn't. AFAIK the only network not allowing 3G access at
the moment for existing 2G subscribers is Orange. (Tested with Virgin,
Orange, O2, Vodafone SIMs in an unlocked Motorola).
