6230 cant see other phones

Hi everyone,
I've just got a 6230. When I switch the bluetooth on i cant see any other
phones, even when they're 2 feet away! They can see me and send me images
etc but when i search i keep getting a message telling me no devices found.
Any help greatly appreciated.

I assume the other phones don't have the hidden option set?

No. My mates phone sees them all.

Dodgy handset sounds the likliest bet then. As you've only just got
it, take it back and ask for a replacement.
